In 2003, best friends, Catalina Alvarez and Mariana Hinestroza merged their passion for fashion and design and started working day and night to bring to life a dream they had. In possession of a small box full of fabric scraps and a sewing machine from their grandmothers, Agua Bendita's journey began.

Agua Bendita has been Hand Crafting Love since 2003, an international brand based
in Colombia known for taking swimwear to a different level where tradition meets
innovation and technology meets handcrafting.

Agua Bendita's overriding added value is given by hundreds of artisans who are head ofhouseholds and are the faces behind the brand's unique beading. Each time you buy an AB piece, you’re buying more than just a sarong; you're buying a piece made
through artisanal techniques, which have been passed from generation to generation.

These super-talented artisans get to work from home while they take care of their
children, with every purchase a contribution is made to Agua Bendita's social responsibility program improving their living conditions.

What makes them particularly special are the contributions of Colombian artisans, 700 single mothers with a passion for making beautiful clothes.
